I totally forgot the '03 Dixon test, but that was also when he entered IRL/CART IIRC so the decision was F1 or CART. Dixon definitely has/had the talent for F1, I just dont ever recall him considering it after he was in CART.

There are a few Indy drivers now that I think could make the jump. I do like Colton Herta and think he's a talent, but is a little too Verstappen with his aggressiveness and over driving. Pato O'Ward has an F1 test with McLaren after winning a race this year as well. Alex Palou is also legit.

DoubleK makes a great point about being traction limited. I'd love to see Larson try his hand at WRC.

Maybe just a super series...6 ovals, 6 WRC tracks, 6 circuit tracks.
