On the bright side, we are one injury to a skilled player from being one of the worst teams in the league. That, or another season of sulking from Tkachuk. We're still two players away from having a competitive team and Treliving doesn't appear to have the mojo to get any deal done that makes us better. A long and cold winter is soon to be upon us.

Don't listen to Lanny_McDonald. He is a false prophet!
This is going to be a really fun season, folks. The Flames will be good, and they will make the playoffs thanks in part to playing in a really ####ty division with a lot of the league's weak sisters. We will definitely make the post season with the currently configured roster and with a healthy Markstrom in goal and Sutter behind the bench the Flames will go deep into the Spring. The down side is always the potential for injuries or unexpected poor performances from players, but where is the fun in expecting any of that to happen when it is still August? The roster is not yet complete, and there is still a very good chance that Treliving pulls off a big trade or two before the season starts, which will make things even more exciting. The winter may be long and cold, but the winning Flames will make you all immune to it.
GFG.
