The Flyers also sent away Phillipe Myers, who you missed.
But more to the point, I think you are both vastly underrating Ryan Ellis. Atkinson is also a hell of an addition. And Risto is as much a turnaround case at this point as Patrick was.
What did Philly have to lose? I am genuinely interested in your logic as you both seem to be applying the same logic to the current flames roster. The pack of stuff that Philly gave up is actually not that meaningful. Voracek is the most meaningful piece likely, and he was probably the best deal they made.
Philly wasn't winning anything with the team as constructed, they identified locker room issues, and they changed things up. I think we need to be so bold.
