I'm not going to be overly critical until we get closer to the start of the season as I don't pretend to know what's going on behind closed doors. However, if opening night arrives and we haven't seen any further changes, that's a real problem imo. And if a Gaudreau extension isn't announced, that's a huge failing.
I certainly agree that Treliving shouldn't make a bad trade just for the sake of making a deal. But it's his job to meaningfully improve the team and he needs to find a way to do it, no matter how difficult a task that is.
And if no one is overly interested in our players/prospects, ultimate responsibility for that situation lies with Treliving as well. It's his team and he's had ample time to build it.
