The vaccine doesn't prevent infection or spread though. Currently it appears that the vaccine is highly effective at preventing serious outcomes but infection and spread in vaccinated people is still possible. Peak viral load in infected people seems to be the same regardless of whether someone is vaccinated or not but vaccinated people are infectious/spreading for a shorter period of time.
