The funny thing about the "I don't want everyone to have access to my medical history" argument is that's the exact reason why you should support the vaccine passport idea.
Just like your travel passport gives people in foreign nations all the information they need about you for travel purposes, without giving them your full life history, a vaccine passport will give people exactly the one piece of information they care about.
On the paper record of my vaccination, it has my full name, birth date, AHS number, and all of the information about the vaccine, including the Lot # and exactly when and where I received it. If I need to show that as proof of vaccination, I'm exposing all that information to the other person.
With the vaccine passport, I would be able to show the other person a barcode on my phone and they'd be able to scan it to confirm that I meet the vaccination criteria set out by the issuer of the passport and I could go on my way with the other person not knowing anything about me other than they got a green light to allow me to enter.
