For certain values of ‘significantly’.

At present:

1. Nobody knows how long the immunity conferred by contracting COVID lasts.

2. Nobody knows how long the immunity conferred by the vaccine lasts.

3. Nobody knows with any accuracy how effective each kind of immunity is, even against the currently known strains of the virus.

4. Nobody knows how much or little each of those two kinds of immunity will help against future variants of the virus.

For all we know, by this time next year, we could be facing a full-blown outbreak of a new COVID strain that neither vaccination nor previous infection helps to prevent. (Not a far-fetched idea: flu and cold viruses are already known to be that adaptable.) At that point, you might as well tear up your vaccine passport and use it for confetti.

What is certain is that your right of free association will henceforward exist at the whim of a bureaucracy. If for any reason they choose not to issue you a passport, you can't go anywhere that requires one. And the pressure will be strong to ensure that every public place requires one.

If you have a bad reaction to the vaccines (and considerable numbers of people do), too bad, stay home forever. If some clerk in the Department of Permitting People to Live Their Lives is having a bad day and either shreds your paperwork or just decides not to issue your document, too bad, stay home until you can go through a tediously long bureaucratic grievance process (which may not produce results even so). Hell of a way to have to live.
