The second Michael's trial is I think next week and the expectation is that its going to be a harsher sentence.



With every prison term, the Chinese will put in the deportation order, its up to the family or government on what they're willing to pay for that release to happen before the execution of a prison sentence.



Also reading up on it, with the Chinese justice system a 11 year sentence is more like the sentence that the British used to use a lot of which is at the Queen's pleasure. Which means the government decides what the 11 years is, or if its in reverse dog years.



Those two Michael's have gone through absolute hell over the last three years. Constant interrogations, terrible prison conditions etc.



We can't just stop the extradition hearing after the government pushed on the whole Canada is a country that respects the justice system.


Yes we're caught between a rock and a hard place, between the Eagle and the Dragon. But at the same time we're still waiting for a decision over Huwei and 5g that is pissing off our 5 eyes partners. We've had a ton of cases of Chinese espionage in Canada. etc.
