Holland basically won none of that negotiation. And you're paying Nurse like he's a top 2 or 3 defenseman in the NHL after one outlier season with a monstrous outlier shooting percentage. And a guy who when Connor isn't on the ice is not that good.

If he's a top 10 defenseman in the league its a stretch, but again its after an outlier season. If he regresses even on shooting percentage, which he will. It becomes a boat anchor of a contract with zero escape.

but its not a slight overpayment.
