Picked up a used Sim Max 3wood stiff shaft yesterday, so hoping to find more consistency with that, then maybe trade in my driver if it seems to be working.
The theory (as I understand it, which is probably wrong) is that with an increase in club head speed the regular shaft can't square up fast enough. So if you swing over 100mph you might want to look at a stiff shaft that is already squared up (less torque? Or is it more? I don't know). I already have a closed face on impact (hence my straight pull) so my personal theory is the regular shaft with a high swing speed (for me) means the head is behind my hands, but because I swing outside in the head is actually square when I make contact. Which is probably the dumbest theory there is, but it's all I can come up with.

You should do a Trackman session to check your swing speed, attack angle and face angle to see if you can identify what you're doing.
