So I'm not a Flames fan. I came here because their AHL team relocated to where I lived 10+ years ago. But I have enjoyed this community and stuck around. I say that so you can understand the perspective I come from. The BOA is not something I care about.
From my perspective the deal still stinks. Way too much money. I was a longtime Wings fan until Ken Holland ran them into the ground. The man has no idea how to build a team. That was very apparent in Detroit once the team he inherited needed work.
I get wanting to be excited for your team. I would just try and temper expectations under Holland. And yeah, these guys do have a pretty big blind spot regarding the Oilers and Canucks. Rivalries will do that to fans. But if I want solid analysis on a trade between Florida and Arizona or a free agent signing in Columbus, I can count on it here.
