This team made him not a top 6 centre, that's on the team (and Bennett). Not fate, not the hockey gods. You hire three bad coaches in a row, and you get what you deserve. Bennett isn't the only one to falter thanks to those decisions unfortunately, as we are almost universally looked at as a team that underachieves every year for "reasons".
I wish Darryl would have taken over after the Peters fiasco. Things would have played out much, much differently.

There's a lot more evidence to suggest Bennett isn't anything close to a top-6 centre. Florida just went all-in on Bennett after 15 white-hot games.
