Its late, so I'll make this quick.
1. Action against their own Church?
- Been tried for centuries. Look at all the change its wrought. The people who matter are so insulated they dont care.
Why do you think they have their own little Country in the middle of one of the World's most celebrated Cities? Because they can. And it means they dont have to listen to anybody. Pure insulation.
2. Someone needs to step up and do something.
- I meant it when I said I harbour no ill-will against Catholics. The vast majority of them are wonderful people who genuinely want to do good.
The pavement of the road to Hell and all that.
But, within the context of Residential Schools (and other initiatives over history) where were the Good People when it was time to stand and be counted?
Simple. They got steamrolled by the system to which they were beholden.
Its not their fault. The system was designed that way.
