Good observation; Hopefully Johnny sincerely wants to be a Flame. I think it goes deeper especially if MT is not happy and then you have Flames trying to move Monahan. It doesn't bode well for the Flames/team not being able to get anything done sooner around these guys. Buffalo asking for the farm just makes the situation a lot more difficult. I believe the Flames should consider putting MT on the market and look at offers from around the league.
MT shouldn't be able to dictate where he wants to go at this point, and the If the Flames consider retaining hopefully they can get a decent coveted player + draft picks.
