Spent Canada day weekend there last year.

We always stay at the Best Western Heritage Inn which is cheap and has a good kiddy pool.

Shopping: isn't as good as it was 20 years ago when they had a lot of stores that didn't exist in Calgary, but the mall seems to be having some life brought back into it (Herbergers had good sales, and a Victoria's Secret), and there is a new power center along the highway with an Old Navy and Barnes and Noble.

They also have an old Target on the main drag which my wife loves.

The Lewis and Clarke Museum is worth a visit, and admission is very affordable.

The 'Sip and Dip' was selected the best bar in the US by GQ magazine (google it). Although my wife tells me as a child they stayed at the attached hotel and swam in the pool, which today seems mighty creepy.

Fudruckers is on the main drag if you enjoyed the Calgary edition from years ago.

Hope that gives you a start.

Was a fun cheap weekend trip for the three of us, and we will likely do it again, but this summer we will likely try Kalispell instead. But really, cross the size (and wind) of Lethbridge with the personality of Edmonton and your result would be Great Falls.
