20. Calgary Flames
Wins Added: -1.3 wins
Salary Added: -$1.3 million
In: Blake Coleman, Tyler Pitlick, Nikita Zadorov, Andy Welinski, Trevor Lewis
Out: Mark Giordano, Derek Ryan, Josh Leivo, Dominik Simon
Blake Coleman was a great add for Calgary, a power forward with the ability to play in the top six. But the Flames aren’t a better team after this offseason because they haven’t been able to replace what they lost in expansion: captain Mark Giordano. That’s a huge hole to fill on the blue line and Nikita Zadorov isn’t the guy to fill it. Giordano was still a No. 1 calibre defenceman last year creating a void on the team’s blue line. Coleman makes the Flames better up front, but it’s not to cover up that loss.

A little premature to put in a score on the Flames offseason I'd say.
We've seen maybe half of our offseason transactions to this point.
