However, at the same time, he is very overrated by the fan base and that is because he is so beloved. He is not a $9M player. He can't skate. He can't penalty kill. He is a winger who primarily is used in a scoring role and if he can't provide that then he is pretty useless in a checking role because he can't skate. He is a 65 point LW who has an x-factor which is to #### disturb and to entertain. I understand that fans want players like that on the team because there always seems to be a lack of "give a ####" from the team but Tkachuk's antics can wear on a team over time. I believe people who have played team sports can attest to that.
You think Bergeron doesn't give a ####? Kopitar? Crosby? Ovechkin?
None of those guys act like Tkachuk. But anyway like I said - you can see it from both point of views...I love the guy as a fan because he's talented and entertaining. Maybe he's just not a fit for the team....and that's OK.

How Tkachuk plays and gets under the skin of opponents is not news. Why give him 'A' if people who played sports and now coach and manage teams think he will 'wear on his team mates' for competing hard?
