Okay, let's examine his analytics.
He has great analytics defensively. He suffers from generating chances on the offensive side of the puck. He is not great at pushing the puck up the ice, I'll give you that. He also takes too many penalties, mostly for roughing/hits too high(has something to do with him being a giant). I just don't agree with your take about him being easy to skate around. He is not a bad skater, he struggles with the cycle game not with people skating around him off the rush.
