Kane getting a lifetime ban from the NHL will pretty much end any chance of those who he owes money to getting anything back. He is still owed $28 million in NHL salary plus whatever he might get in his next contract(s) if he is cleared.
I don't see how it is in their best interest to cooperate with a NHL investigation.
