Why would the Sabres want Monahan? He's a massive downgrade on Eichel and likely leaves in free agency in 2 years. What an absolute fleece job if we land Eichel with Monahan as the centerpiece. Adding a couple third liners and a 20th OA pick isn't getting it done.
