I hate when an athlete's personal life gets dragged across the internet, we don't need to know any of this. There's zero conclusions anyone can make from he-said, she-said social media posts.

Yeah people are jumping all over him for a post his ex made. I wonder if there are other examples throughout internet history of an somebody posting fake stuff to get back at someone. I can't see the NHL simply starting an investigation based on a twitter post from a disgruntled ex, unless this ex has some kind of legal representation that made a formal complaint and provided evidence to the league that they were forced to act on. What's stopping literally anybody online from making such an allegation and forcing the league to spend money and resources on an investigation? How could they even investigate this unless there is some kind of paper trail to follow. He just had his best PPG season of his career. Makes no sense unless they plan on blaming Kane for the Sharks not making the playoffs or playing lazy shifts and getting scored on.
Kane is a dick. Nobody denies that. But I'm going to wait and see before I pass any kind of judgement. This is all so stupid anyways. I don't care about his personal life away from the rink. Who cares what his ex has to say. Let the lawyers sort that crap out. She says he's betting on his own games and a deadbeat dad. He says otherwise. Who's to say who is right? If what she said is false, she's airing their dirty laundry for all to see and is a POS. If Kane is guilty, then he will be punished accordingly. Ultimately, both are probably giant POS and the child is the one who loses in all this.
