1. Chris Drury really did a number on our mental health as a fanbase. Literally the only player who has come here and publicly pouted, and it was 19 years ago.

2. You can't live/manage an organization in fear of a hypothetical. Especially when we have Johnny Gaudreau, Matthew Tkachuk, Noah Hanifin (who vacations and is friends with Jack), Blake Coleman, Trevor Lewis, and Connor Mackey all here to reassure us that there isn't some weird anti-Calgary movement within the NHLPA.

3. Yeah, the injury bit is of course a real concern. I imagine any acquiring team will have done some work on the back-end to understand the situation and feel comfortable with whatever the risk is.

4. Questioning Jack's commitment is so weird to me. This guy wants to go under the knife to get his career back on track, and wants to get out of an absolute disaster of an organization as soon as possible. He also isn't the only player to run for the hills away from Buffalo as we've seen Reinhart and Risto demand trades, Ullmark take his first chance to flee into free agency, Hall looked like a new man the moment he got the Sabres uniform off, Staal go on to be much better in Montreal than in Buffalo...the Sabres are a disaster of an organization (even if Adams did nail the Risto trade).
