You're just weirdly biased.
Did you know that the Tampa Bay Lightning were an absolute disaster from Stamkos' rookie season (08/09) all the way through 2012/2013? That's 5 years of being a disastrous organization. You know how they got good? Their organization drafted other amazing players and were managed by an excellent GM. Players do not succeed individually.
Did you know that Steve Yzerman took 14 years to win a Stanley Cup?
Did you know that Joe Sakic missed the playoffs for the first four seasons of his career, and then didn't actually win a playoff series until his 8th season in the league? Or how about that he didn't win any series in his three season in the WHL?
Did you know that Jarome Iginla didn't win a playoff series until his 8th NHL season?
Is Joe Sakic a big game player? Is Steve Yzerman?
