You just need to be prepared.
If Eichel goes somewhere else, then good. He's an injury riddled diva who has no leadership skills and will likely LTIRetire in the next two seasons. Whatever package he's traded for will cripple whichever organization gave up massive assets and mortgaged their future to obtain him.
If Eichel comes to Calgary, then great. He's the missing cog in our Stanley Cup contending (and winning) team. He will mesh perfectly with our roster and is everything we need to become a winner. His injury will heal in no time and thanks to the advances in modern medicine he'll be at 100%, propelling us to victory on his back. The assets we trade will fade into obscurity and we'll look back on this moment in 10 years as the turning point of our franchise.
