Its true, and I’m no Monahan hater, but clearly Eichel would be the upgrade on him, and at least one big salary has to move. They probably want Tkachuk or Gaudreau but I think keeping the Americans together will be part of the potential success of this team. But you have to give to get and I think if the only roster players it costs us is those guys, you gotta do it. Monahan has his own injury question marks and the recent news on Eichels surgery seems to be more favourable than considered when it was more under wraps.
Definitely would be cool tho. And I think Eichel would love to come here and shove some success down McDavids throat. Just seems like that type of competitive jerk with a chip on his shoulder (or neck *ducks*). We need more of that.
