Gotta think it's 3 years before we know a Eichel trade has gone bad. Realistically if the procedures don't work out 100% there are 2 to 3 seasons of 'maybe he will maybe he wont's'.
So the next 3 firsts aren't a whole lot in that context, and lines up with the Sutter contract which I think the consensus is that it is not rebuild inclusive. And we would be middling in the standings anyways.
That is a risk worth taking for a franchise guy where the prognosis is pretty promising if you take his camps word at...85% value.
