Not an expert, but from what I've read the spinal fusion is a guarantee of future problems/pain just muted and manageable. The replacement could end up back to 100% function or maybe not. Is the maybe not in this scenario worse than the guaranteed result of spinal fusion?
Frankly I can see why eichel wants to go with the replacement.
