Have there been any recent NHL players that have had similar injury to Eichel - have had the conservative surgery the Sabres want - who are of a similar profile to Eichel?
With that I mean - young and play substantial minutes. If yes, what happened to their level of play? Did metrics go down, were they unable to do things they were able to prior to surgery.
Like what are the positve and negative scenarios? Have any writers done any kind of analysis on this?
