Personally I don't marinade my steaks. I prefer to taste the beef as it is.
All I do is get the BBQ searing hot, almost red hot. Sear the steak on each side for less than 30 seconds, sealing in those mmm mmm tasty juices. Turn the heat down a notch and cook for 3 minutes a side. When I flip it, I pour some beer overtop. That right there makes the steak.
Serve with large baked potato with trimmings and tons of sour cream and you got yourself my favorite meal.
