If you're in the second category, places like New York, LA etc don't jump off of the page because your values don't align with the sort of lifestyles those places offer.

Calgary is very privacy friendly and is an outstanding option for raising a family in safety and comfort. It also offers an abundance of options for outdoor activities and sports.

I'd say there are a huge number of players that fall into the latter preference, particularly those in their mid twenties or later. And naturally athletes will enjoy others physucal activities.

Personally I actually wouldn't understand Calgary not drawing some appeal, unless you're a younger twenty something or teen who is still single, and wants to embrace the celebrity lifestyle and mingle with people in your spare time.

I'd wager 60% or more are more interested in settling down somewhere and would emphasize things like privacy, and a setting that is ideal for a family.
For you and me, yes. For a pro hockey player I'd say no. You telling me A Flame can go get groceries and not have people come up to them every time to say Hi or ask for an autograph or picture? Go for dinner and have people whisper and watch you? When I was younger Gilmour used to shop at the store I worked at, always a huge deal when he came in. was never left alone, adults acting like kids around him
