The prison bars on the left side of the building just look like a horrible reject from a 60s-80s brutalist building/mega church/movie theatre.
Why couldn't that be glass or a big screen or something more interesting.
We have the Central Library and Studio Bell in downtown Calgary merely blocks away from this Calgary Penitentiary Arena and they look like they belong in the 21st century while this looks like it was designed 50 years ago.
