Then there's the reality that for a playoff-starved team like Buffalo, one year of making the playoffs could be well worth any future fallout just to revive fan interest and "hope". Look at how Columbus handled the Bobrovsky/Panarin situations... huge distraction, sure, but they made the most out of it in the short-term. Not saying that's the best plan, or that I'd want my team to do that, but for a team like Buffalo, it's a huge factor.

I am sure they love to repair the relationship but I can't see any chance that is going to occur
