I think the best way to extract value out of Lucic is to give him linemates who lack his skillset.
Lucic - Dube - Phillips as a line for example. Dube and Looch already have chemistry, and then you add Phillips speed, skill, hockey sense.
Dube gets to play center where he should be far more comfortable than at RW. Phillips' percieved weaknesses in the corners are mitigated by Looch's strengths. If that helps guys like Dube and Phillips maximize their value on the ice, then Lucic is worth the aggregate cap hit.
