Yeah the contract isn't crazy.
But they overpaid a bit based on his career average and short time period in Florida.
but with Sam it's all confidence, maybe more than almost any player I remember. If he rides that confidence from last year in Florida he moves up the roster and stays there. If he hits a blip though he probably retraces to his Calgary averages quickly.
I would guess he's better than the 1.6 P60 in Calgary but no where near the 4.6 P60 in Florida.
