And even if that tiny chance materializes, he's going to let the Flames know this. And at that point, the Flames will trade him so you don't the pick for nothing. You'd probably be able to extract some decent value out of an Eastern team, which is what I assume his preference would be.

This is the right way to look at it. I mean, we just had a guy who went to the same school that we couldn't sign win the Norris this year. So it's fair to have the risk on your mind but really no sense worrying about it.
I don't know how many NHLers Harvard has produced but would be interesting to know how many were drafted and how many left before finishing their degree.
