This trade actually gets funnier the more you look at it. Benning tries to get OEL last season, loses Toffoli and Tanev and Stecher because of it. Now this year, he gets OEL, replaces Toffoli, and it costs him three draft picks to do it.

If he wasn't so bad at his job, he would be out from Roussel, Eriksson, and Beagle in a year rather than tied to OEL for 6 more, would have Toffoli so no need for Garland, and would have their draft picks.
