I completely agree that he should steer clear of bad deals. But to improve your team you are going to have to move players you deem as "good" players. Unfortunately for every Ken Holland there are numerous actual comptetent GMs, and our GM needs to be able to make hockey deals. No team is going to do us any favors, so it is his job to address the needs of the team and make the required changes.
