Circling back to Dvorak vs Monahan
After spending significant time reviewing multiple videos of his "highlights" there's absolutely no doubt that Monahan beats him in every aspect.
Here's his most productive season highlights from 19-20.
Phill Kessel is faster/more shifty than Dvorak.
His goals are 90% deflections/digging for rebounds and a lot on the PP.
He plays the Tkachuk role for AZ in front of the net, whereas Monahan plays trigger man from the hash marks.
Nothing from this video screams elite to me, nor does it appear like he's a JG away from being a superstar. Complimentary piece? sure I'd take him on the 2nd/3rd line as a 30-35pt player but he doesn't fill the void losing Monahan.
You're entitled to your opinion and I respect that, but to me both the statistical data and the eye test tell me Monahan is superior by a large margin.
