OK, that one is new to this old fart of 40+ years. I never, ever, used "ise" in any word that I grew up knowing as "ize" (or "yze"), like formalize, normalize, fraternize, organize, analyze, etc.

I have noticed that both are recognized (there we go again...) in the British English dictionaries, but the "ize" is distinctly American English.

Since we are neither British nor American, I suggest we from this point forward abandon both ships and use "ixe". I realixe that this might be an issue with some people, however, in order not to jeopardixe the situation into being a full fledged CP jihad, it is a suitable compromixe.
