I think we would’ve regretted a Gaudreau swap in either case. But Hall appears to be the exact same player he’s always been. Which is a good, rarely great, but also rarely bad player.

I didn’t think he looked good for Boston. I took him in my PO pool so I watched him a lot. He got points and scored a big jam in goal once in the POs, but compared to all of the other Boston and NYI forwards he was just “there”. Actually the guy who looked most like him in that sense was Eberle, oddly enough.
