I think it's a neat idea, if it were a nice comfortable uncrowded high speed train that is cheap to use.

But, being that seems to be a fantasy, I don't think it it's all that worth it.

I like driving, for one, and I have taken the bus between cities plenty of times in other countries. We should probably just work on making the buses easier, nicer, and more frequent if we want to throw money at something.
