Even though the price to acquire him would have people saying he is a core piece but Hamonic never earned that distinction.
I do think Sam Bennett was a core member of this team who requested to leave. Brodie left by his own choice when the team who tried to trade for him a year earlier came calling with a richer offer.
Gio gone to Seattle as expected thanks to the stellar play of Chris Tanev who looks to be a core piece on the blueline. Markstrom was also added to that core last offseason.
