It happens every year. The players drafted on Friday will immediately be compared to superstar players in the league and be considered the top prospects. It’s a recency bias that we experiences every draft. Even though this draft has continually been criticized for being a weak draft for years. I think we will look back on this draft and compare it to the 2012 draft where there were a few good players (forsberg and Josh Anderson, for example) and maybe one superstar that was not a very high pick (Vasilevskiy). I think there will be a lot of disappointments. Have to remember that, along with being a weak draft, most of the players in this draft have had a derailed development because of the pandemic.
