It's all about context, in an irc channel typing that way is fine since only other people who really think you are 1337 to type that way will want to bother reading it.
If someone wants their ideas to be read and understood, you'd think they'd want to make it as easy as possible for the other person...

What I posted is an extremity, but my point is that I don't think it really matters if someone uses perfect grammar. There are quite a few posters on this board who don't know what perfect grammar is, myself included. Trust me, you think you know but you don't. All I am saying is that if someone makes a post like "i think the oilers powerplay is struggling because there are not enough peple on that team who can propely qarterback it" Is that really a huge deal? A few spelling errors, a few grammatical errors, the overall point is there and everyone can comment.
Nobody is perfect and just remember when you start nit picking peoples posts it puts a big target on your own.
