Think about it this way. Remember when Gio first signed his deal, we all said it's a fantastic deal at the front of the contract, but will most likely be an albatross near the end when he declines, and we have to still pay him for the last year, but that's the price we had to pay in order to get him at a lower cap hit. Well, I guess Seattle kind of took care of that problem for the Flames. We got the best years of Gio on that contract, and now Seattle is taking on probably the worst year of it.
