I think you're expecting a bit much from Byfield and Zegras if you're expecting them to be as good or better than Eichel in a year or two. Maybe down the road, but I doubt that quickly.

But the point remains; if you want to acquire Eichel, with the contract he has, it's because you're pretty sure that he is a number one center. The other two aren't yet and may not be. You're not getting Eichel to play him on the second line.
