I’m all for second chances, but this was a total dirtbag thing to do. In this day and age, with all that’s happened with this sort of thing a seventeen year old should know better. I hope he isn’t drafted by any team as this “owning up” seems to be well timed to occur pre-draft.
On to the Flames - I think Treliving will try valiantly to trade the pick for help now (especially if Gio is claimed). I don’t agree with it (unless it’s in a package for Eichel), but that’s what I think he’ll do first. If unsuccessful, Silinger or Lucius will be the pick if they are there as they kind of fit the solid physical/skill/personality balance Flames have sought over recent years and both may instantly become our best prospect. If both are gone I could see a trade down.
