Show me the evidence that it would. Sustained failure hasn't stopped Oiler fans from being constantly optimistic. At this point, I don't see any evidence that
anything will cure the negative posters on CP of being constantly pessimistic. Especially when some have explicitly said that the only ‘sustained success’ that will please them is a Stanley Cup win.
