It isn’t the big IP films dragging down the industry. It’s the Netflix dollars. The 40-50 million dollar movies don’t get made anymore because they get turned into 12 episode shows on Netflix/HBO/Amazon etc
Now if you are looming for summer blockbuster that aren’t IP driven then I’d agree that IP is taking up the air but that’s not the usually the complaint in the current state of the film industry.
