Especially when its almost a done deal that they're going to take Driedger from Florida.
You need a mid-range, mid-pay, steady partner for him. Not breaking the bank on older, expensive goaltenders.
There is a reason these guys are available. Nobody is throwing life-preservers here if they can avoid it. Vegas was lucky, they caught everyone off guard, now most of these guys know the drill.
